Ian Barow

Ian is the head of Group Legal, having joined Allan Gray in 2009 as head of Institutional Legal and Compliance. He has served as a trustee on Allan Gray’s suite of retirement funds since 2009 and currently serves on those funds’ Investment and Governance sub-committees. Ian is an admitted attorney and a member of the Pension Lawyers Association, the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa and the Compliance Institute of South Africa. He represents Allan Gray as a member of ASISA’s Regulatory Affairs Board Committee and is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
